The Supreme Lord appears in many many Forms.
His appearances have some meanings, and one of them is to guide us on the path back to Godhead.
So His Forms are the support for us and the 'beacons' on the way we are passing.
We can take an adventage of this help.

1. MATSYA AVATARA
O my Lord, O sweet Lord Krsna
How I want to see You in Your Avatara Forms
How I want to be with You Krsna in all Your pastimes.
But it takes so long My Lord.
O my Lord, O sweet Lord
You rescued the first Manu from the great deluge as Matsya.
Forewarned him about an impending catastrophic flood
Pulling the bout to safety saving the Vedas and slaying the demon
O my Lord, O sweet Lord
How I want to speak with You and play with You
Going into the Ocean of ecstasy of fishing mood and sports
But it takes so long my Lord
O my Lord, O sweet Lord
How I want to perceive Your all Blissful Forms
Seeing by hands, testing by eyes, smelling by touch
Smell, touch and taste each of your gestures, movements, shapes
O my Lord, O sweet Lord
How I want to enter this whole mystery of Your Self
Big surprise, whole greatness, unlimited transcendence
Is there any chance for me to immerse into this freedom?
O my Lord, O sweet Lord
Swimming in the ocean of such material misery
Trying to imagine what is not to imagine
Your Forms, Your Pastimes, Your Very Being
O my Lord, O sweet Lord Krsna
How I want to see You, please open my eyes...
How I want to be with you, please...
But it takes so long my Lord
2. KURMA AVATARA
Where are You hiding my Krsna before me now?
Is it a proper place for You this shell of a tortoise?
Hiding all Your limbs inside in such Kurma home...
Where I can find You then?
To Whom I can pray and pay obeisances if You are invisible?
Please show me Your head, show me Your limbs, show me Your grace
Beautiful like a delicate beauty of a whole beauty
Mysterious like the mystery of Your Transcendence
The Form of the Humbleness, and Renouncement of the external world
Hiding before... Before whom You are really hiding? Before me alone?
But why? I am dedicating everything to You, so please accept it.
But is your home truly also mine? Is there indeed a place for me?
Taking pleasure in the scratching of the Mandara mountain
Was that pastime of Samudra Manthan churning of the Milk Ocean attractive?
Was that cry of your devotees demigods to get immortality an inspiration?
Are you always responding to such cry?
Let me then cry to you all the time:
Please show me your mercy
Show me Your favour to get real immortality in Your eternal kingdom
The immortality in that home with Your association my Dearest Lord
3. VARAHA AVATARA
A small Boar, who cares of Him, His mood natural and simple
From where is He coming?
From the nostrils of Brahma the creator of the Universe???
Is He then that God Krsna???
What happened?
The demoniac temper of Hiranyaksa makes You angry?
Your anger makes You bigger and bigger to fight with him...
Large like a mountain or a space between the earth and sky
Dark like a rain cloud in complexion and blazing like a Sun
Your tusks are white, sharp and fearsome, your terrific roar is frightening
O Lord Varaha you encounter Hiranyaksha who obstructs your path
He challenges You for a duel...
Fight my Lord, win my Lord, that is the only hope to have You on my side
Fight all aggressive mood of those who claim to be better than YOU
Rebellious and bewildered by pride, want to be separated from You.
Fight my Lord, rescue the suffering of this World by lifting the Earth Bhudevi
And humbly I am praying lift my very self from this aggressive environment
Fight my Lord and slave all my miseries of this reality, win my Lord
Win my Lord Krsna, win... now as Varaha...
Who knows you really?
Are You representing a Yajna sacrifice as the eternal holder of the Earth?
Are Your feet representing the Vedas, the scriptures?
Are Your tusks representing sacrificial stakes?
Are Your teeth representing the offering?
And the mouth is the altar with tongue of sacrificial fire?
The hears on Your head denotes the sacrificial grass?
Are Your eyes representing the day and the night?
Are You the embodiment of the Supreme Being ,
who brings order amid chaos in the World by sacrifice?
Then...
Please accept my humble obeisances to Your Divine Form
Please bring order into my chaotic life.
Please bring peace to my mind and remove all external reflections
And finally please inflame the sacrifice of my worldly existence up to the ashes
And please allow me to come back to You now.
4. NRSIMHA AVATARA
SHELTER...
My sole shelter comes from You
PROTECTION
My protection is only in Your hands
AFFECTION?
My affection?... You are the source of my affection

O Personification of God's Anger..., being everywhere
You responded to a cleaver demon, Hiranyakasipu was there
Exploding with the tantrum tension belly sharply lacerating him
Transcendental Rapacious Cat protects own baby cry!
The death personified..., a prowling dread wild beast...
The death of the death finishing demoniacal life!
What a relief...!

Majestic, amazing... special... and impressing You are and unique!
All attractive this makes You, indeed

5. VAMANA AVATARA
All going battle within the Universe, the Macrocosm
Who was in a favour then?
The Demons?
Is there also a similar battle within the Microcosm of human nature?
Good and Bad...
All heavenly planets occupied by the king of the Asuras Bali
guided by mystic Sukracarya
What a sorrow... the Demigods became homeless
The only hope was to pray to the Lord
The only hope He would come
O Krsna, O Vamanadeva
You are never leaving Your devotees in need
Can I call You in need?
O Beautiful Miniature Child, Dwarf with umbrella and water pot
In this disguise You approached the king of the Danavas
He could perceive that You are a higher being...
God with uncommon attractiveness and effulgence
You have came to teach that Bali Maharaja a lesson
Are You teaching now me?
RULE Number One for me:
I should know You are often hiding Your identity
Am I sometimes not recognising You in a certain disguises when you are testing me?
Can I beg You to always reveal Yourself to me?
To act properly
To satisfy You fully
This Bali was puffed up with his material vanities,
and You all peaceful, without interrupting his attitude,
just approached him in the form of a Brahmana,
who has a right to beg something from the princely order
He was engaging himself in severe austerities and penances
and won the praise of the world, he believed that he can help any one,
pompous of his activities forgot that there is someone above him
You finally told this Asura that the pride should be abandoned for advancement in life,
and that wealth should be appreciated as it can easily disappear
RULE Number Two for me:
Abandon all pride for advancement in life and appreciate all what is coming
I am humbly praying to You, please give me this benedictions...
The king was prepared to grant You anything You asked for
And You asked for three paces of land,
Bali agreed despite protests from his guru and his curse
Bali is a Mahajana because he wanted to serve You
disobeying his non-bonafide guru
RULE Number Three for me:
Avoid non-bonafide materialistic leaders who profess to be a devotees,
they perform all pious and devotional activities for some gain,
but when there is any hindrance on the path of material gain
they at once become demonstracji,
which are the words of Srila Prabhupada
Please show me all this if it approaches me and protect me from any such influences...
You assumed a Trivikrama gigantic form and covered the Universe
revealing Your identity to stride over the three words
With Your first step You reached the heavenly planets
With Your second step You reached the limit of the Universe
But Bali was unable to fulfil his promise, since he promised You three steps,
so he humbly asked You to place Your remaining step on his head
And You placed Your foot on his head,
and gave the king immortality for his humility
RULE Number Four for me:
Humility
Please open me for firm submissiveness which is so flickering and unsteady...
Bali symbolises the False Ego and a human nature of Microcosm
with never ending battle between good and bad
The three steps symbolises three planes of existence within the shell of the Universe,
states of consciousness which must be crossed over
And the final step on his head elevates from all three platforms to attain liberation,
the fourth dimension which is to achieve and which costs complete offering of oneself
RULE Number Five for me:
The charity of one's possession is not sufficient for the Lord,
but complete surrender of everything what a devotee may possess within himself
Please allow me to open myself for that fully complete surrender to You...
The Demigods came back to their kingdom,
Your victory my Lord Krsna is always obvious!
RULE Number Six for me:
You are neutral and unbiased, You are only trying to balance the nature.
You are showering Your divine light to all, irrespective of what they did
The second chance is available for everyone
Please give me this equal vision
Please free me from all dualities and all tasks
Please give me this internal balance which means as well attaining You.
6. PARASURAMA AVATARA
My God, My life...
My Krsna,... Brahmana Rama or Parasurama...
Countless Your forms, Your incarnations
This Saktyavesa Form is the next, still alive and always worshipped
Adored and offered prayers for exalted character and activities
And I am also praying to You with wonder...
How to perceive You now my Lord?
Your activities so shocking, so different
You descended to released the universe from the burden
Undesirable kings were killed many times
Killer..., God..., Who are You?
How to comprehend Your glory?
O Lord, Dear Lord...
This story of Your appearance shows You act unexpectedly
According to the circumstances...
A head of a puffed-up king for stilling the cow
A sin of killing by one who should have tolerated the offences a Brahmana?
One who should cultivate the quality of forgiveness, now atone...
O Lord of golden complexion, a Brahmana with an axe in hand
Acting like a ksatriya..., leaving read picture...
A hills of heads, arms, legs, great rivers and lakes of blood...
No mercy... You killed them although their offence was not very severe...
Under the influence of passion and ignorance they become proud and irreligious
They ceased to care for the laws enacted by the brahmanas
But despite this all Your activities are exempleary:
You showed rigid respect and obedience to Your father
You did not leave any ksatriya on the earth who disobeyed the Brahmanas
You manifested forced tribute to the Brahmanical Culture
Your rituals and bath in Sarasvati river cleared You from all baggage of sins
Giving up all weapons, now You are pure like a Sun...
And I am praying to You with wonder...
My Dear Lord, Dear Krsna,
You are always right in whoever You play and in whatever You do
The only thing which is needed to understand You really is faith
That is my prayer... for that faith I am asking
Although I have a faith

7. RAMACANDRA AVATARA
O Krsna, Dear God of Gods
Out of Your own will You appeared as Rama
whose complexion is like green fresh durva grass,
now the best of kings, ideal man and the perfect human
You descended into this world in Your quadruple expansion
as Lord Ramacandra (Vasudeva), Laksmana (Sankarsana),
Bharata (Pradyumna) and Satrughna (Aniruddha) known as catur-vyuha.
You are also described as Narayana and the others serve as Sesa, Conch and Cakra
Your life is one of adherence to Dharma despite harsh tests and obstacles
and many pains of life and time
By heroic deed You achieved Your consort Sita,
the embodiment of perfect womanhood
You are revered for Your unending compassion, courage
and devotion to religious values and duty.
O LORD RAMA
Let my prayers glorify greatness of Your character and nobility
You realized that the king must not break a solemn promise at any time,
and neither should a son disobey his father's command
therefore You entered the forest, accompanied by Laksmana and Sita
abandoning Your claim to Ayodhys's throne to serve an exile of fourteen years,
believing firmly in the power of destiny
But once Ravana took advantage of Your absence and kidnapped Your wife Sita
Not knowing who did it or where She was You succumbed to despair and tears,
denouncing himself for falling to defend her, agonizing over her safety
You were worshipping Her golden statue
In order to perform some pleasing work for the demigods
and to deliver Your wife Sita You exhibited superhuman powers
by controlling the Indian Ocean and then killed personally in battle
the atheistic King Ravana
O LORD RAMA
Let my humble obeisances to Your Generous Person satisfy You
When You have entered Ayodhya You were enthroned as a king
You become an emperor ruling with happiness,
peace, duty, prosperity and justice
You protected the citizens and displayed affection for Your brothers
But it happened You dressed Yourself like an ordinary person
and began wondering within the capital to understand
what impression the citizens had of You
You heard some suspicious things about the character of Your wife Sita
Fearing such rumours, You decided to externally give up Sita's company
although She was pure and chaste
You banished pregnant Sita, She gave birth to twin sons,
then She entered into the earth
Hearing about Sita's departure very much aggrieved,
You performed many sacrifices
O LORD RAMA
Let my understanding of Your starling and unaccountable decisions pacify my mind
You were acting in the way of the straight and narrow path of rules and regulations
Your purity an piety in Your intentions and actions
inspires affection and devotion for You
You personifies the characteristics of an ideal person (purushottama)
who is to be emulated,
You have desirable virtues and You fulfilled all Your moral obligations (maryada)
You considered Your Dharma of a son above that of Your own birth and life's ambitions
For such supreme sacrifices, and many other qualities,
You are considered really a Maryada Purushottamor the best of upholders of Dharma,
a basically human but exemplary figure
You gave the ideal of the one wife,
it is said that You and Your consort Sita reside in each other's heart
You always followed Your promise at any cost
You were an excellent friend
Even towards Your enemies You showed great highness and virtue
O LORD RAMA
Let my own experience of the path of Dharma be deep in meaning and unbroken
Let it be awakened in my heart
Let Your support covers me like a veil of shelter

As Siddhartha 'who achieves his aim'
You had left your palace to meet your subject
For the life of a simple mendicant

By meditation became a teacher of a 'Middle Way'
Between the sensual indulgence and the severe ascetism

A common-sense religion to not harm any living being

Yet it is an important quality for persons who are actually religious

To end the violence which was committed in the name of the Vedas
Decried the authority of the Vedas
In order to stop animal sacrifice in the name of religion

The waves of a river flow incessantly
No one can count how many waves there are

My beloved Lord Krsna
Inconceivable Incomprehensible

Assuming the Form of the Maintainer of Religion
'Destroyer of foulness' 'Destroyer of darkness'
'Destroyer of evil' 'Destroyer of ignorance'
Namas te kalki-rupine
Obeisances to You descent of the divine into the material world
Human and the tenth Avatara Kalki 'Eternity' and 'Time'
You appear in the home of the most eminent brahmana
Of Sambhala village, the great soul Visnu Yasa
May You as Kalkideva the Supreme Personality of Godhead
who appeared as an incarnation to protect religious principles
protect me from the dirt of the age of Kali
Atop Devadatta, a white horse with a wings
A drawn blazing sword like a comet in left hand
Riding with great speed
Traveled over the earth exhibiting eight mystic opulences
Presenting eight special qualities of Godhead
Displaying own beauty and unequalled effulgence
Immortal Parasurama awaiting for Your return
Teaches You military science and other instructions
May You as Kalkideva the Supreme Personality of Godhead

As Kali Yuga advances many pseudo religious principles will appear
And will be introduced and people will forget the truth
The real religion enunciated by You the Lord will be lost
Especially principles of surrender unto Your Lotus Feet
At the end of this age of Kali entire population will consist of mlechas
No one will follow the Vedic principles, no God conscious preaching
When there exist no topics on the subject of God even among so called saints
Your fierce incarnation will destroy that classes of the atheists born in this age
May You as Kalkideva the Supreme Personality of Godhead

Kali Yuga vice will badly increase that at the termination of of the Yuga
You will personally exterminate the pollution out of the demons

The liquidator of the meat-eaters posing as a leaders
Destroyer of all the mlecchas Barbarians whose minds are devoted to iniquity
Your only business will be to vanish all human beings on the surface of the globe
Simply killing, Simply massacre to introduce another Golden Age
May You as Kalkideva the Supreme Personality of Godhead
who appeared as an incarnation to protect religious principles
protect me from the dirt of the age of Kali
Embodied Kali causes Dharma to be forgotten and society to decay
When You appear on the earth Satya Yuga Age of Truth will begin
Human society will bring forth the progeny in the mode of goodness
The man thus changed will be as the seeds of human beings
Shall give birth to a race who will follow the laws of Krita Age
You will establish moral principles in the form of fourfold varnas
Gather all brahmanas and propound the highest truth
Return to the right path bringing back the ways of lost Dharma

You appear as the Supreme chastiser restoring the true value
Having power to change the course of the stream of Time

Thus the atmosphere becomes most enchanting
